Hi, I'm Margaret!
But you can call me Maggie :)
I am a wedding and lifestyle photographer serving the Buffalo, NY area. My husband and I have lived in the area most of our lives, attending its churches, school events, and supporting our local teams (Go Bills!).
I've loved photography for well over a decade, starting out as an assistant to my own mother and other photographers I admired. Since middle school, I've loved storytelling through media, but photography is what really ignited my passion.
Becoming a mother added to my adoration for the art. Capturing those precious moments through beautiful photos, watching those little feet go from the size of my finger to sounding like elephants in my living room... There's nothing to compare it to. I will always treasure those photos of my precious family, and I hope to share that same gift with others.
My faith is ultimately my driving force. Being raised in the Wesleyan church and now an Orthodox Christian, I have so much admiration for the Christian faith - whether it be protestant, Orthodox, and/or Catholic. I love to share my gifts with the Church most of all whenever possible and appropriate, as Its beauty is something worth sharing.
Why I do what I do
Speaking from experience, there can be stages in life that you don't think you'll want to remember. I was at one of my lowest points in postpartum with my second born, but I'm so grateful to have photos to look back on from that time because now I can see there were moments worth cherishing.
I regularly look back on our at-home family session we did after my son was born. At the time, I felt like my home wasn't pretty enough and my postpartum body wasn't beautiful. Now, through those photos, I see how far we've come - how God has provided for us even in our hardest moments. I see how small my daughter was, and how she looked at me as if I were the prettiest lady in the world. I see how my husband held all four of us in his arms; all his treasures in one place.
We are truly blessed to live in a time where we can have photos like this.
For those of you who've chosen me as your photographer - in whatever stage of life you're in - I hope I've done and will continue to capture those moments for you in such a way that reminds you of the Lord's goodness in your life.
